Sigg Art Foundation is an independent and non-profit organization founded in 2020 by Pierre Sigg, a longtime art collector. Through its residencies, collection, and programs, it aims at supporting the development of new ideas, encouraging knowledge, and creating bridges between cultures.
Sigg Art Foundation empowers emerging creatives, with a special focus on artists challenging history and its artistic heritage through the lens of digital and technological innovation.
Sigg Art Foundation is operated in Belgium under the non-profit private foundations legislation, performing internationally with an estate in the South of France where the artists-in-residency project is born. Funding is provided by our advisory and consulting services, our sponsors partners who trust our expertise and share the fundamental values of excellence, innovation, and collaboration, and by our founder Pierre Sigg.

Founder
Pierre Sigg, a Swiss entrepreneur with deep ties to contemporary art and technology, is the driving force behind the Sigg Art Foundation. Known for his substantial collection of art, Pierre transitioned from hosting artist residencies in his family home in Le Castellet, France, to establishing the Sigg Art Foundation. This non-profit organization embodies Pierre’s vision to actively engage in the art world beyond collecting, by providing artists a nurturing environment to evolve their ideas, particularly those working at the intersection of traditional mediums and emerging technologies.
