The Sigg Art Foundation was proud to take part in ArtMeta Basel 2025 with a curated presentation foregrounding seminal international voices in digital and contemporary practices. This second edition participation embodies our ongoing engagement with the critical intersections of art, technology, and cultural transformation.
By presenting visionary voices from across the globe, we reaffirm – alongside our audiences and longtime partners – a shared commitment for art’s capacity to challenge, connect, and inspire.
What begins in residence becomes part of a lasting dialogue. The Sigg Art Foundation is proud to present a selection of past residents as part of its curatorial program at The Digital Art Mile during ArtMeta Basel.
Our residencies are conceived not as isolated moments, but as the starting point of a long-term commitment. Each of these artists — Grégory Chatonsky, Ben Elliot, and Khaled Makhshoush — has developed work in close collaboration with the Foundation across programs in France, Saudi Arabia, and Greece.
Through this ongoing support, we continue to foster artistic growth rooted in experimentation, research, and shared cultural values.

The 2024 Prize was a beginning. Our support goes further. We were pleased to present five artists from the inaugural Sigg Art Prize as part of its official participation in The Digital Art Mile at ArtMeta Basel.
Launched in 2024, the Sigg Art Prize is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to supporting visionary practices at the intersection of art and technology — with particular attention to the potential of Artificial Intelligence. Through a combination of financial support, production and visibility, the Prize provides a platform for artists shaping the future of imagination. Last year’s participants — Dana-Fiona Armour, Elly Cho, Lea Collet, Aaron Scheer and Sasha Stiles — exemplify a new generation of creators whose work challenges traditional narratives and redefines the cultural impact of digital innovation.

From script to code: two Saudi voices, one cultural continuum. This exhibition presentation reflects the Foundation’s long-standing engagement with the cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia and its commitment to fostering artistic practices rooted in research, innovation, and dialogue.
“We are proud to be part of the extraordinary cultural initiatives that Saudi Arabia has been developing in recent years. Resident in KSA for the last decades, I am looking forward to the Foundation becoming one of the voices that foster the intercultural dialogue between the East and West.” — Pierre Sigg, Founder
By supporting artists such as Lulwah Al Homoud and Donia Alshetairy, the Foundation reaffirms its dedication to bridging generations and geographies through works that speak to both heritage and emerging technologies.

New names, bold visions. As part of its official participation in The Digital Art Mile at ArtMeta Basel, the Sigg Art Foundation was pleased to unveil a new generation of artists joining its public program for the first time.
These new collaborations embody our mission to empower emerging creatives — with a special focus on those challenging history and its artistic heritage through the lens of digital and technological innovation. Their practices span generative systems, machine collaboration, post-simulation mythologies, and immersive sculptural forms. Together, they reflect a shared desire to shape new aesthetic languages for a world in flux.

On June 18, the Sigg Art Foundation hosted an intimate private dinner within the privatised spaces of the Kunstmuseum Basel. Bringing together leading collectors, artists, and cultural figures, the evening offered a rare moment of exchange during Art Basel week, celebrating contemporary creation in a setting that encouraged dialogue, discovery, and connection.
